I’m so glad you’re here. To make sure our journey together flows smoothly, here are the key agreements that protect both of us and keep lessons respectful, safe, and enjoyable.
Payment & Cancellation
Sessions: Please give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Less notice = full session fee due.
Illness & Late Arrivals
Feeling unwell? Please do not attend in-person sessions if you have coughs, sneezes, or flu-like symptoms. If that happens, I’ll usually offer an online session instead at the same booking time. If singing isn’t possible, we can focus on other elements (musicianship, artistry, creative work).
Running late? Please drop Jenny a WhatsApp message. After 15 minutes without contact, the lesson is considered missed and the full fee applies. If you arrive late, the session will still finish at the scheduled time.
Communication
Best way to reach me: WhatsApp during office hours (9am–5pm), email outside of those times.
Acknowledgement: A simple “Received” when you’ve seen Jenny’s message is always appreciated, even if you can’t reply properly until later.
Confidentiality
What happens in sessions stays private, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is serious risk of harm.
Please don’t share or distribute lesson materials or recordings without Jenny’s prior written permission.
If sessions are recorded (by mutual agreement), your recordings are for your personal use only.
This confidentiality is mutual — both Jenny and the client agree to respect each other’s privacy. Jenny will never share any images or footage of clients without their express permission.
Use of Technology
Lessons and communication may use Zoom, WhatsApp, email, text, Dropbox.
While I take reasonable care, no platform is 100% secure. Clients are responsible for making themselves aware of the privacy policies and confidentiality terms of these services and letting Jenny know in writing if it is preferred to not use any of these services.
Health & Wellbeing
Please let me know about any relevant medical or psychological history before lessons begin, especially vocal injuries or SLT/ENT referrals.
Jenny’s work is not a substitute for medical advice or therapy. Always follow professional medical guidance where relevant.
Client Responsibility
You are responsible for your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, and for any actions you take as a result of our work together.
I cannot guarantee specific outcomes; your progress depends on your practice and engagement.
Liability
Singing and vocal training carry natural risks (e.g. strain, fatigue). You participate at your own risk.
The Vocal Artist Studio will not be liable for injuries or losses arising from participation.
Voice science is continually evolving. While Jenny is committed to ongoing study and expanding her knowledge, it is not possible for her teaching to always reflect the very latest research. Jenny shares her expertise in good faith and with professional care.

Ending Our Work Together
Either of us may end lessons at any time, provided all outstanding payments are settled.
Fees are non-refundable, but sessions may sometimes be transferred to another person (with Jenny’s agreement).
