Vocal Freedom Work

with Jenny May

Building vocal freedom and expressive confidence through guided voice exploration & meditation

Your voice carries more than sound.

It carries hesitation.
Power.
Softness.
Anger.
Joy.

Parts of you that rarely get airtime.

This group is for adults who want to explore their whole voice — beyond performance — and access fuller expression.

What This Is

Vocal Freedom Work is a 90-minute small group experience designed to reconnect you with your body, your breath and your voice in a grounded, structured and carefully held space.

This is not choir rehearsal.
This is not technical drilling.
This is not about singing songs.

This is voice as lived experience.

What We’ll Do

Each session includes:

  • Guided voice connection exercises to support vocal safety

  • Breath and grounding practices

  • Group vocal exploration and meditation

  • Exploring range and dynamics — soft, strong, wild, contained

  • Safely facilitated expression within a small group

No auditions.
No performance pressure.
No need to be “good.”

Only willingness to explore and listen.

Your Professional Vocal Coach Jenny May

I am naturally beautifully shy.
And I am also wild and bombastic.

Both live in me.

Learning to allow both — without trying to become more acceptable, polished or controlled — has been my life’s work.

For over 25 years, I have worked as a professional vocal coach in Central London, supporting artists across the music industry. My clients have performed and recorded with Sony Music, Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group and the BBC. They have stood on major stages and recorded in world-class studios.

That work taught me precision. Structure. Technical integrity.

But underneath it all, the deeper work has always been permission.

Permission to be quiet without collapsing.
Permission to be powerful without apology.
Permission to feel.
Permission to take up space.

Vocal Freedom Work grew from that ongoing practice — reconnecting with the body, with breath, and with presence here and now.

This is not about becoming more impressive.

It is about becoming more honest.

Shy. Strong. Soft. Fierce. Uncertain. Expansive.

This work is about expanding your capacity to hold all of it.

If you have questions, reach out.

What Clients Say

  • “When I started working with Jenny, I lacked confidence both as an artist and as a performer. Through her guidance, my voice became stronger and more reliable, and I developed the confidence to step onto the stage. I now feel secure in my artistry and genuinely enjoy performing. The progress I’ve made — both technically and personally — has been transformative.” — Helena, Online Singing Student

  • Jenny has hundreds of 5 star reviews reach out if you'd like to read more.

“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed.”
